In search of late night dinner on the strip that wasn’t burgers or alcohol, we found Ginseng Korean BBQ on the strip. Located behind a 24-hour Walgreens near the Coca Cola store, Ginseng is one of the very few Korean restaurants on the strip. Service was OK here.
Today we ordered the Beef Teriyaki House Special and the Bibim Nang Myun (Cold Noodle with Seasoning). Six side dishes arrived at our table shortly after ordering. The dishes were not too appetizing, and tasted sour and bitter. In comparison to the quantity and quality of the side dishes of YD Restaurant in Sacramento, Ginseng stands no chance.
The Beef Teriyaki arrived with a small salad and a small portion of fried rice. The beef and teriyaki sauce was really good. The salad was watery. The rice was OK. The Cold Noodle dish was quite different. I did not expect the dish to be so cold. It was also too watery.
Overall, I do not suggest a visit to Ginseng. In terms of side dishes and taste, your money is better elsewhere. The only other changing factor could be the BBQ dishes that we decided not to try today.
