Rating: ★★★★☆

Tucked away at the corner of Bond Road and Elk Grove Florin, Snobites serves up various deserts including shaved ice, block toast, and boba drinks. Signs outside proudly show that they use local Gunther’s ice cream in their menu items. Upon entering the small eatery, we were quickly greeted by smiling staff who were able to answer questions regarding their menu.

Today, we ordered the House Brick toast, which included a large hollowed brick with smaller bread bricks inside topped with chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla ice cream, chocolate drizzle, macaroons, and cookie sticks. Various pieces of fruit line the sides of the plate. All the ice cream tasted very smooth, but the chocolate was overly-rich. Also, the chopped kiwi was quite sour. The combination of the cold ice cream and warm toast went great together. The small bricks of toast inside were crispy and sweet. One order definitely should not be consumed by just one person. One dish is good for two to three people. Presentation of the dish was very visually appealing, and the large bread brick is still able to hold up the ice cream even though it is hollow.

Overall, Snobites serves up delicious desserts including their tasty brick toast. With great service and moderate pricing, this desert hits the spot. The food does take a little time to prepare, so do not expect the food to be ready right away even though it is just bread and ice cream. After being seated for a while, the tables quickly filled up to the point where people did not have anywhere to sit. If you have never tried brick toast before, you should definitely give Snobites a shot.
